Boaz completed his first steer project on April 8th. RB was out of Junie B - his second show heifer and by Charlie. He was a good project and learning experience of us. Steers are definitely different. After we learned his ways, he was a big lug - dumb lug, but big none the less. after Boaz went through the sale, they called him back to go through ring a second time because the buyer donated him back to the Youth Fair. As we were waiting to go in we got this shot.
Other fond memories of RB.

Boaz's New Baby - Peppermint
Peppermint welcomed the world to her view on April 6th. Firecracker finally decided it was ok to allow her to peek out and see the world. We are excited to meet her and Boaz is already making plans for his Peppermint. Firecracker is a good mom.
Zella's New Baby - BK Definitive 6053D ET aka Brownie
Boaz and I went to Buck's sale in March. We looked at several of the heifers and obviously were impressed but were sure we couldn't touch any of those. Then lot 53 came in she was marked as polled in the catalog, but was corrected as a horned heifer on the supplement. She has new genetics for us and we are excited about the opportunities. Boaz was super excited for Zella. Zella went back with us on Sunday and picked her up. She is now receiving lots of love.
