State Fair of Louisiana Results

We had a super time in Louisiana.  As always we got to visit with our friends from Louisiana and enjoyed the time. W5 Overtime 400J  made his last appearance in the show ring and maintained his undefeated in class status.  he is truly an amazing bull.  Overall he stood Reserve Champion Bull.  We were very excited.  His first calves are extremely nice and are awesome to watch grow.  They are dark in color and conservatively marked.

Here is one of his heifer calves.  She is super cool, smooth polled with just the right color and one fully marked eye.  She should be a show stopper!

-S W5 Gran Torino 4249 Y14 also had a very good day.  He stood Reserve Division.  He looked great as you can see.  The judge commented that "This bull's time will be in the near future."  We agree that he is in a growing stage.  And he is still super thick, sound, and just a tremendous bull. We love his hip placement and the way he tracks.  He is Impressive!

W5 Ms Sweetgum 428T also had a great day.  She stood Reserve Intermediate Division winner. She is one of our last daughters from SB 157H Rite-Way 81R ET.  She is stout.  She is also  FOR SALE.  She would make a great first heifer project for a junior or a very nice addition to any herd.  She is dark in color, conservatively marked, and backed by a genetic package the is second to none.  On her dam's side she goes back to DR Achiever 8403, and Pure Gold.  On her sires side she goes back to Remitall Highway, Keynote, and the great JR Cassandra cow.  She will continue to get better and better.

Boaz got to enjoy the fun, this year too.  He was very excited to accompany us to the show.  He had a lot to tell his friends back at school.

Stop by and see the cattle on your next trip to east Texas. Take a look at -S W5 Gran Torino and the fall calves.  Christmas is just around the corner.  Pick out your Christmas present now.
