East Texas State Fair 2013 Results

We had a great set of cattle at the 2013 East Texas State Fair.  Leading off the line up was -S W5 Gran Torino 4249 Y14.  Dennis - was we call him  is an exceptional individual.  He was the Texas Polled Hereford Reserve Champion Bull in 2011, the Reserve Champion Hereford Bull at the 2012 State Fair of Louisiana and stood as Grand Champion of the 2013 East Texas State Fair.  His unique bloodlines of  C -S Gran Torino 8172 and Boomer P606 combines for a great genetic package.  But none of that matters if the phenotype doesn't work.  This one works!  Take a look at him.

Semen is available on him.  His first calves are on the ground and are tremendous.  Heifers bred to him are calving with an average birth weight of 55lbs.  Mature cows are calving with an average birth weight of 80 lbs.

His little brother W5 Incentive 466D, sired by W5 Overtime 400J, stood Reserve Champion at the show.  He too is a unique individual.  He is a beautiful deep red.  He is as long as a freight train with tremendous style.  Since his genetic package is so close to that of his brother, we are offering him for sale.  Contact us for more information on this outstanding individual. 

Other results include: Champion Intermediate Bull with W5 Incentive 471D,  Reserve Champion Fall Bull Calf with W5 Advance 482S.  We had a great bull show and thank the Lord for His favor.  We were named Premier Exhibitor and Premier Breeders as well as receiving Best Six Head.  This was also Boaz's first show.  He and Zella had imprinted a heifer when she was less than a day old.  Zella named her Sally; Sally has always loved them and so we decided to use her as Boaz's first heifer to ensure a great first experience.  She was part of the group that took Best Six Head.
